Blurb from Wax Poetics:

In celebration of Hip Hop’s 50th year, we’ve teamed up with London based ‘Classic Material’ to present a chronologically themed series of mixtapes celebrating the history of recorded rap music, mixed by Chris Read. This megamix serves as short form companion to our recent 1988 mixtape, this time cramming over 30 classic tracks into a brief four minute run time. Artwork pays homage to iconic late 80s imprint Fresh Records.
