I’m pleased to share with you the second volume of this new quarterly mix series, ‘Manifesto in Stereo’. The mission, or Manifesto if you like, is a simple one – to play music that is moving me right now outside the restrictions of heavily themed mixes . A proportion of the music featured here is new or at least recent and to the extent that there is a theme here, that might be it, but above all the idea is just to play good music, thoughtfully mixed, without restriction. The influence of Jazz, Soul and well considered, contemporary production are common threads, but no genre or tempo is off limits. This second outing joins the dots between Neo Soul, Hip Hop, Broken Beat, Nu Jazz, a touch of House, Jazz and a variety of related beats, moving through a selection of tempos and feels.
