Chris Read & Danny Delta – ‘Adidas Originals ‘Game On’ Mixtape’
This mix was put together by my good friend Danny Delta and I back in the spring of 2009 as a promo for an event Adidas Originals held in France in celebration of the release of their summer season range for that year. With the vaguely sporty theme of ‘Game On’, we selected a number of ‘game’ related tracks, some Adidas references and a healthy number of summer themed tracks. The result was a pretty eclectic affair that takes in some hip hop, some interesting re-works of some funk & soul classics and quite a lot of jazzier beats type stuff. Years on, it’s still a mix that I enjoy listening to.
