“This is the third and final installment of the ‘Funky Drummers’ mix series and the most uptempo of the three. As with previous editions, it’s a solid 20 minutes of nothing but raw drum breaks from Funk, Soul, Rock & Jazz’s funkiest drummers. Given the neighbourhood of the tempo, percussion and bongo breaks feature more heavily than previous editions, the subtitle ‘The Last Bongo in Hackney’ being a not so subtle reference to one of the world’s best known percussion groups and the place where I dwell.”
