A big thanks to everyone I worked with this year!:
Classic Material, a project Nick Armitage, John Brotherhood and I started 12 years ago made a comeback for #HIPHOP50, re-running our mixtape series first with Wax Poetics magazine and then with Apple Music. I picked up ‘The Breaks’ mix series where I left off (absolutely insane amount of work that made me question my sanity at times), and retooled the art work for the original diary mixes which kickstarted all of the above. I did some radio (more Hip Hop 50 stuff for BBC 6 Music) and some programming around David Bowie for Polaroid Radio. Crates completed its first year and we released some brilliant sample packs (too many to mention here, but the two taster packs I compiled are in the pic above). Suburban Architecture had its best year yet with two new vinyl EPs and two 10″ vinyl remix releases from our Architecture Dubs series featuring mixes from Pushy, DJ Trax, Blame and DJ Trace! We also got out 7 volumes of our New Towns mixtape series. Couldnât have done any of that without some brilliant photography from Matt Elms and design work from Leon Nockolds. In between all that, 3 volumes of Manifesto in Stereo made it out.
